„Famille Garage“ von Alexander Seifried für Richard Lampert
Das hochwertige Möbelstück beginnt als Wickeltisch und wächst mit den Jahren in seiner Funktionalität
über sich hinaus.
A chest of drawers is a chest of drawers is a chest of drawers. And what was once a nappy changing table remains precisely that. Or does it? Nonsense! The “Famille Garage” furniture series Alexander Seifried created Richard Lampert was inspired by a boy’s love of playing, before he became a designer, and this year the series also boasts a children’s bed.
What started out life as a baby changer, the top of which, when the infant grows, becomes a table top. A bench then rounds out the seating ensemble thus spawned. The chest of drawers can be re-arranged as a shelving system, and with its colorful plastic scoops is reminiscent of a modeling section in a workshop. An orderly workshop, at that. Designer Alexander Seifried, whose dreams as a boy have now become true with this “building set”, has ensured “Famille Garage” is a long-serving piece of furniture that transposes the robust nature of an orderly workbench with a work top and shelves into the kids’ room. With its charming functionality, the variable furniture family is just as suitable for the kitchen or bathroom. “Famille Garage” is quite simply much more than “just” a chest of drawers. (uma)
The entire series is made of Multiplex spruce/pine boards, with a colorless lacquer with a white wash and MDF lacquered in RAL 9010 white.
The plastic (polypropylene) boxes for the chest of drawers are available in a transparent finish and in yellow, red, green and blue.
