Functional sculpture

The "Blueprint Chair" by Herman Studio for Form & Refine is a prime example of the philosophy of the Danish interior label: clear in design, not a single screw is visible. High-quality material, as it is made of European, FSC-certified oak and ash wood. Jonas Herman Pedersen and Helle Herman Mortensen from Herman Studio designed the furniture for Form & Refine, step by step, until all elements of the chair were perfect in function and design. "Slow Living, a lifestyle that focuses on deceleration, is the basis for everything we do", emphasises Helle Herman Mortensen. And adds: "By taking a slow approach, we can take every necessary angle and consider all aspects of a product. This is our privilege and responsibility as designers of a new product." The duo's craftsmanship is thus evident in every aspect of the "Blueprint Chair", such as the angle of the backrest, which the designers have worked out until it is comfortable for everyone, regardless of stature or size.
