Rhythm’s in his blood, and not just because he started out life as a musician. He also knows what the boys and gals out there think is pretty swell and all the rage. Tom Dixon is a multiple talent who not only designs luminaires and furniture, but also fashion for Adidas and restaurants, such as most recently the “Eclectic” in Paris. And soon he’ll be back making music: Together with ex-Fab Head of Design Bradford Shellhammer Dixon will be back on stage, playing bass.
And it’s all rounded out by Tom Dixon now producing a “Club” collection complete with armchairs, gold-colored luminaires, and accessories such as cocktail shakers. Not to forget the other novelties: His highly successful “Beat” pendant luminaire is now available in gray with a silver inlay and with “Flood” Dixon doffs his cap to the mood of oily car repair shops. “While “Pivot” is a set of upholstered items featuring an edgy armchair with a high or low backrest and a bar stool. Tom simply rocks, whatever the field may be! (mm)
