Unilin Panels 2021: MASTER OAK

It looks like pure oak, but it's not: Unilin Panels develop decorative panels that offer the homely feel and look of the natural material but are more robust and easier to clean.

Interior panelling that looks like wood but surpasses the natural material in its functional properties: Unilin Panels has created 'Master Oak' decorative panels that look and feel like oak but offer the easy-care, colourfast and robust character of melamine and high-pressure laminate. "The matt surface of 'Unilin Master Oak' provides a luxurious appearance and features a unique texture - just like real oak," says Caroline Van de Populiere, Head of Research and Development at Unilin Panels. For the market launch in early 2022, six designs (four wood colours and two uni-colours – white and black) will be presented that are suitable for nearly all interior applications in offices, hotels as well as retail. Unilin "Master Oak" can also be combined effortlessly with any type of substrate such as MDF or chipboard, and comes in fire-retardant, moisture-resistant and formaldehyde-free variants. For the production of Unilin's products, 100 percent recovered wood is used, for which the Belgian manufacturer has specially developed an advanced sorting and cleaning process. (am)
