Zumtobel has now added two new lighting solutions to its product portfolio. “Trinos” is the first IP65 strip light to combine the flexibility of a mounting rail system with the durability and sturdiness of an IP65 lighting solution. “Cardan evolution”, by contrast, a fitted downlight for architectural purposes, represents a new take on Cardan accent lighting.
“Trinos” is always well-protected – the system allows for strip lights to be used in the kinds of industrial location where requirements are always stringent – for instance in refrigerated warehouses and roofed outside areas. The powder-coated, high-tensile aluminum carrier section is shockproof and can take bear a great mechanical weight. Corrosion and weathering are not an issue for this light. The load-bearing system is finished off by a water and dirt permeable end cap with a foam seal and by pre-cut, sealed openings for the power cables. Up to 50 meters of the IP65 strip light can be installed in one piece. The system also comes as a single unit in lengths of 1.8 and 2.3 meters.
Zumtobel developed the design concept for “Cardan evolution” in collaboration with architecture and design studio blocher partners. Depending on swivel angle, this precise accent lighting minimizes or even eliminates glare with its “lightgroove” asymmetric molding on the casing. And the fact that the light is not cut off on the casing makes the light up to eight percent more efficient and allows for very good color quality. A smooth transition to the ceiling is guaranteed by the lamp’s low profile. This recessed light can be swiveled and tilted to suit individual requirements in various different lighting environments.
