The fibres come from the protective coat that surrounds the coconut. The machine-spun, long-pile yarn comes from Sri Lanka, and is exceptionally resistant to wear. Ruckstuhl can look back on a long tradition of processing coconut fibre. Since the foundati
on of the company, Ruckstuhl has been weaving carpets from coconut fibres - and today we are the only firm in Switzerland to do so.
