Tell me what I should be cooking

Kitchens and cars have more in common in the digital age than you might imagine. At the Living Kitchen in Cologne there were strong signs of how kitchens are upgrading digitally, too.
Furniture with a pure design in which matter is reduced to a minimum to emphasise once again the concept of dematerialisation that is the cornerstone of Valcucine's design.
Starring the elegance of glass, the rigour of aluminium and the warmth of wood that bring a modular system to life made up of wall-hung cupboard units, base units and benches used for storage and to sit on, that can be installed at will to furnish the kitchen or the living room with utmost flexibility and versatility.
The living room unit with pullout sliding doors in aluminium and glass is provided with shelves on the inside as well as a diffused lighting system and is shut using pullout sliding doors that can be opened by a simple gesture of the hand. It is also designed to house wall panelling on the inside. Total formal purity is also offered inside the wall units themselves that are fitted with a cable duct to conceal the wiring for the lights and for the TV set.
The wall-hung base unit and the top can be coordinated with the pullout sliding door unit as well as with all the furniture of the Valcucine Living system. They are available in many finishes: glass, aluminium, lacquered MDF and acrylic materials in all the colours of the Valcucine range and, lastly, even in oak, walnut, elm and "lati nero" wood.
Valcucine's Living system brings your ideas to life. Even the sliding pullout doors of the living room unit can be customised with your own creativity using the glass inlay technology of Vitrum Arte.
The wall-hung base unit is available in the plain version with a fixed top or in the more sophisticated version with a sliding top: a clever idea to support technological appliances such as video screens, stereo systems and computers while concealing cables and electric power supply units.
In the glass finish, the top also offers an integrated loudspeaker and amplifier system that, fitted below the top, transmits and diffuses music throughout the home. The audio controls are on the top.
As well as being a practical top and offering storage space, the bench is designed to be transformed into an informal and innovative seat that can be easily integrated with the sofas and armchairs of the living room. The top is strengthened to become a very safe seat because it has been designed to support intense weights and stress thanks to the special bars that hold up the structure.
The jumbo drawers of base units and benches offer total safety even for children: they have soft-closing runners and a slow-closing device that prevents fingers from getting crushed. Moreover, there are no sharp edges and every detail has been designed to prevent accidents.
Even for its Living system Valcucine shows utmost attention to the environment by choosing design based on dematerialisation and recyclability as well as on the reduction of toxic emissions and product durability to support the basic principles of environmental friendliness.
