Revival vs. Innovation

The grand review: These are the trends and highlights of this year's Milan furniture fair.
Drawing his inspiration from the tradition of wire chairs, Patrick Norguet created kobi, the iconic collection of seats, which, over the years, has been enriched with numerous interpretations of the original project. The elegant, lightweight structure that brings to mind a suspended architectural object has remained unaltered, and so has the frame enveloping the shell. The finishes and the details, instead, reflect the many identities of this chair.
Kobi soft is the newcomer in this great family, which has received numerous awards through the years. While the design and the proportions are the same as in the original kobi, the seat is a solid element in foamed polyurethane and is fully covered with fabric or leather. The new seat enriches the collection with a new shape that puts the accent on comfort and simplified lines.
The experience of colour and combinations of different materials also return in kobi soft, to spawn a range of proposals with a marked contemporary character. The detail in fabric or leather draws inspiration from the world of fashion and stands out in any environment like a beautiful garment.
