With SUMATRA, the Christian Fischbacher design studio has composed an elaborate jacquard from silk, cotton and viscose that features a lavish palm leaf design. The botanic pattern repeat, done in a graphic signature style, preserves the elegant characteristics of the palm leaf by combining various different yarn materials. The shimmering base of the silk satin, finished with Airsoft and a Flinox treatment, supports the smooth fall of the fabric and gives it its distinctive loose, airy quality. SUMATRA is manufactured for Christian Fischbacher by a long-term partner organisation, one of the best and most technologically advanced weaving companies in India.
