Biography

Colin Nourie is an industrial designer who has created furniture, products and environments for some of the most enviable global brands such as Herman Miller, Steelcase, Staples, Geiger, Proctor & Gamble as well as Abercrombie and Fitch. Pairing a very hands-on design approach with his discernment and curatorial instincts, his innovative design work has garnered several international design awards such as the IDEA Award, the GOOD Design Award and the Neocon Gold Award.

As the product of a large, highly creative family of architects, engineers and musicians, Colin cites his early inspiration for pursuing design to the Solar aircrafts of Paul MacCready, the large scale artwork of Alexander Calder as well as the essentialism of the work of Dieter Rams. After graduating from The Ohio State University in Industrial Design, Colin began a deep professional practice of design based the long view approach of creating a slow build to mastery in this field. Colin has amassed an enviable list of clientele from international Fortune 500 manufacturers to Fashion retail leaders, to small technology startups and non-profit service providers. He brings 20+ years of design leadership to the creation of compelling product experiences that align the present needs of the human experience with the fast approaching needs of a healthier sustainable future.
