Biography
Bombay born, Flora Steiger Crawford was the first woman with a degree in architecture in Switzerland. In 1924 she opened an architectural office with her husband, Rudolf Steiger, first in Basel which later moved to Zurich. Alongside architecture, a particular interest in interior and furniture design. She also devoted herself to art, above all, sculpture while continuing her architectural and design work. She died at the age of 92 in Zurich.
