Fredrik Färg

Fredrik Färg was born in 1981 in the town of Lysekil, on the west coast of Sweden. In 2000-2002 he did a course in cabinet-making at Grebbestads Folkhögskola (adult education college). He then continued his studies at the HDK design college in Gothenburg, where he obtained his Master's degree in 2008.

In 2008 Fredrik managed to place himself on the international design map with his degree work - Coat, furniture for what is known as "slow fashion". He has participated in several major design exhibitions such as Salone Satellite in Milan, Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven, the Stockholm Furniture Fair and DMY-Allstars in Berlin.

Awards: Glimåkra Designers Prize 2009, Ung 7 (Young Swedish Design), Talente 2008, Markslöjds Light Prize 2007, Bombay Sapphire Finalist 2007, Made in Sweden 2006, Årets trästol and Fyrstads kulturpris.

Fredrik Färg is already represented at the prestigious Nationalmuseet (National Museum of Fine Arts) in Stockholm.
