Earthquakes can be devastating. The interesting part is
to design such a fragile object like a vase out of those seismological movements. The contrasting view highlights the conceptional approach to create aesthetic sophisticated objects out of a force of nature. A seismograph registers and pictures earth movements. With a close look to those lines you actually see interesting silhouettes. The very fascinating part is that you can outline various objects, by consciously choosing key points in a predefined area. From these two-dimensional lines the asymmetric vases result. Each piece of the porcelain vase collection is manually produced in Bavaria - the stronghold of porcelain production in Germany.
