Tola Dolza: Ambito by Steffen Kehrle

The Ambito collection combines classic design with contemporary precision. Created by Munich-based designer Steffen Kehrle, it is based on the idea of creating an object that is both functional and full of character—a piece of furniture that fits naturally into the room while also making a statement.

The folded sheet steel construction plays with curves and planes that reflect light and surroundings, lending the object depth. The structure is complemented by materials such as linoleum, veneer, and marble, which add deliberate accents and emphasize the haptic quality. Ambito is available in two versions: as a side table and coffee table, with identical design concepts but different proportions.

Selected materials are available for the surfaces: the deep red Rosso Levanto from Liguria brings warmth and expression, while Portoro Silver with its black base tone and silver veins offers understated elegance. Another option is the new veneers by Konstantin Grcic for Alpi, which add a graphic component with color gradients and rhythmic sequences.
