cc-tapis: Dedalo by studioutte
Dedalo by cc‑tapis: a collection that turns structure into an aesthetic signature.
Dedalo is a collection that explores the relationship between architectural principles, geometric systems, and textile construction. Three distinct weaving structures—Hydra, Cardo, and Cnosso—form the design foundation. Each interprets the interplay of knots, surfaces, and embroidered lines in its own unique way.
The designs abstract historical ornaments and architectural motifs into clear, modular compositions. Grids, pathways, and recurring patterns create a calm, rhythmic surface in which structure and ornament merge into a shared logic. Repetition—a fundamental principle of textile work—becomes the central design element here.
The color palette focuses on five tones: brown, ivory, mustard, and black, combined in various shades. Hand-weaving, hand-embroidered details, and knotted elements define the tactile quality of the pieces and emphasize their artisanal character.
