Nils Holger Moormann: La Dré by Haus Otto

A movable stainless steel object — minimalist in form, versatile in light, precise in expression.

La Dré demonstrates just how versatile a minimalist lamp can be. The round stainless steel shade sits directly on the light bulb, transforming it into a ball joint that can be effortlessly rotated, tilted, and swiveled. With a single hand movement, new lighting angles are created—from focused reading light to soft ambient lighting.

The frame consists of just a few laser-cut stainless steel parts that can be assembled without tools. The screwless construction is designed for ease of repair and durability, underscoring the functional clarity of the design.

The lamp is available in two sizes:

Size M – compact, portable, and easy to reposition in the room

Size L – as a stationary focal point next to an armchair or desk

La Dré was developed by the Stuttgart-based studio Haus Otto, whose precise design language is reflected in the minimalist construction.
