ClassiCon: VOLKSHAUS Series by Herzog & De Meuron

ClassiCon presents the 'VOLKSHAUS' furniture series, designed by Herzog & de Meuron. The series includes a Lounge Chair, Stool, and Side Table made of solid oak, inspired by traditional wood joinery in Japanese architecture. These sculptural pieces feature asymmetrical designs and offer versatile use.

The Lounge Chair is crafted from sturdy wood with oak frames and durable cord weaving. The Stool doubles as a footrest or stool, while a Side Table completes the set. Each piece showcases a complex yet aesthetic wood joinery achieved through CNC cutting. ClassiCon's owner, Oliver Holy, emphasizes the timeless aesthetic and craftsmanship of the series.

Available in natural oak or black-stained oak, the 'VOLKSHAUS' Lounge Chair and Stool come with matching weaving. Optional cushions are also available. These pieces are suitable for various settings, from living rooms to hotel lobbies, as seen in the boutique hotel at Volkshaus Basel, which inspired the series' name.
