3DAYSOFDESIGN 2026
Right now
‘For me, 'Make This Moment Matter' captures the spirit of a global community that is growing more reflective, more connected, and more committed to creating designs that truly make a difference. It invites all of us to treat this moment as an opportunity to act with intent, and to shape a future we can stand behind,’ says Signe Byrdal Terenziani, CEO & Managing Director of 3daysofdesign.
Finding balance, making informed decisions, seeing the big picture: the 3daysofdesign team aims to translate the diverse challenges faced by both designers and consumers today into a mosaic that inspires positive self-empowerment. ‘Ultimately, the power of design lies in its ability to transform spaces and, in doing so, the lives of the people who inhabit them,’ says Signe Byrdal Terenziani. Since the festival was founded in 2013, 3daysofdesign has grown into one of the industry's most important annual events thanks to her commitment and the collective enthusiasm for design. Every year, around 500 exhibitors present their programmes at venues across the city, with visitor numbers increasing with each edition and estimated at several hundred thousand thanks to the public accessibility of most of the shows. Copenhagen was named the world's most liveable city in 2025 by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), a home advantage that has an additional positive effect on the festival experience.
This year's artwork, based on the theme ‘Make This Moment Matter’, was created by the Danish studio On Display, which was founded last year by Anders Gerning, Marie Heissel and Tor S. Johannesen. It shows a collage that combines a still life, digital representations and photographic elements: a black lily in a vase, partly covered by an origami that is reminiscent of the finger game ‘heaven and hell’, in which answers to yes-no questions are given as tasks. ‘The juxtaposition of stillness and movement, reality and reflection evoke a certain anticipation – alluding to the moment in between the past and the future,’ says Studio on Display. The appeal illustrated in this way highlights the need to examine creative action and one’s own demand in order to achieve a goal with the design and thus give it lasting meaning. (am)
