Artemide: DREISPITZ by Herzog & De Meuron

Herzog & De Meuron have designed a luminaire that embodies their architectural language. With Artemide's expertise, "Dreispitz" becomes a balanced triad of composition, production and light performance.

Even if "Dreispitz" speaks a technical language of form: the combination of a central triangle with the round light tubes attached to its flat sides bears a poetic component. The central core of the elongated luminaire is available in silver, black or green and houses the electronic components. "Dreispitz" generates a soft and uniform light distribution, while the modular design allows one side to be fitted with a strip for directional light. This means that the requirements of office environments, for example, can be customised. Available in various lengths, the luminaires can be combined to geometric forms in the room using a connecting piece. In addition to the horizontal pendant light, Artemide’s collection also includes a wall light and a floor lamp. The geometric shape is particularly elegant as a vertical pendant light. From a private staircase to the sacred ambience of a contemporary house of prayer, any suspension location is conceivable. (eb)
