COR 2025: KAGU
‘Kagu’ shows the joy of sophisticated angles and complex structures that appear simple: the slender wooden legs of the chair, made of ash or oak, are connected to a wooden cross and extend up to the armrests. The upholstered steel seat shell, which rests on the frame with invisible springs, appears particularly light thanks to its construction. ‘The highly upholstered shell is clamped into the base frame and swings freely,’ explain Markus Jehs and Jürgen Laub. In addition to the airy suspended seat, the change of materials is also exciting: numerous textile and leather upholstery fabrics can be chosen for the ‘Kagu’ cover. Jehs+Laub have thus created a contrast for COR that fits just as well in cosy interior design as it does in contract areas – minimalist and surprising, expressive and versatile. (am)
