FEATURED PREVIEW – MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2024
COR

Jeannette Altherr, Delphine Désile and Dennis Park have translated the need for a relaxed exchange into a multifaceted sofa for COR: "Siwa" will provide an island of peace during the busy Milan Design Week.
4/10/2024

Close to the floor and with a dynamic shape that resembles a gentle wave thanks to the inner curved line, the new "Siwa" upholstered furniture is particularly inviting at first glance. Ideally supported thanks to the high backrest, the generous seating area is always comfortable and offers new perspectives at the same time: "The exciting thing is that no two seating positions are the same. The seat depth and viewing angle are constantly changing - depending on where you sit," says Leo Lübke, Managing Partner of COR. The amorphous shape of the furniture thus fulfills several functions at once: Sofa, reclining island and chaise longue - elegant and informal, sculptural and functional. This is further emphasized by the seams, which are adapted to the free form. "'Siwa' is a place to be together, if you like, a room within a room with multiple functions: Here you can read, chat, work and relax. The iconic typology remains functional and creates a balance between object and interior," says the Altherr Désile Park trio. "Siwa" is available as a one-, two- and multi-seater and is the designers' first collaboration with COR.

The colors and shapes of nature will also serve as inspiration for the design of COR's homely showroom in the Brera district: The historic building at Via Solferino 11, which guests enter via a charming inner courtyard, will be designed in green and earth tones, accentuated by shades of light blue, salmon and yellow.
