A diverse urban development project that goes by the name Wasserstadt Limmer is currently being realized on the onetime site of Continental in Hanover: Across several construction phases a good 1,800 apartments will be created on a total of 230,000 square meters. From a children’s daycare center via retailing through to senior-friendly housing, the quarter, which is close to downtown, is designed to leave nothing to be desired for its future residents. The Weitsicht residential project which is part of the new Wasserstadt Limmer has already been completed by meravis Bauträger GmbH as the developer, the architectural practices Schenk and Waiblinger, as well as H&P civil engineers. With their reddish-brown brick facades the three buildings meld harmoniously with the natural landscape along the Leine river and provide 51 owner-occupied apartments.

Dallmer's CeraFloor Individual shower channel was installed 40 times in the high-quality condominiums in the Weitsicht residential complex.

The high-quality fittings of the apartments in the multi-storey base buildings and tower building are impressive right down to the last detail: For example, the bathrooms are fitted with the “CeraFloor Individual” shower channel and the “DallFlex-System” by Dallmer. Thanks to the integrated cross gradient of “CeraFloor Individual” the water drains away quickly and safely in the floor-level showers making sloping cuts unnecessary. As the shower channels are available in matt stainless steel, matt black, matt red gold, or matt brass they make an ideal match for the bathrooms designed in gray and anthracite. Moreover, the tiles also serve as channel covers making for smooth transitions from the shower surface to the drain. The water is then fed via the shower channel into the DallFlex drainage system. For the first time this innovative system makes it possible to separate the drain from the shower channel. For architects and planners in particular this arrangement offers a wide range of design options.

What is more, through the clever construction Dallmer has made handling much easier for both plumbers and users: The system can be installed simply and without getting your hands dirty thanks to the snap-in sealing sleeve that is delivered separately and wrinkle-free. “Dallmer offers value for money that meets almost every budget. That is a great advantage for projects such as the Weitsicht residential ensemble with apartments in different price categories,” explains Marc Hänsch from Dallmer, whose job includes advising planners throughout Lower Saxony. Creating a feeling of wellbeing is at the top of the agenda in the Weitsicht residential complex – and the DallFlex drainage system combined with the CeraFloor Individual shower channel by Dallmer can make a significant contribution to this feeling.

The cover of the minimalist, elegant shower channel can be fitted with almost any tile and thus blends harmoniously into the surroundings.
