Flos 2023: MY CIRCUIT
"I am part of a generation where, growing up as a kid, electric slot cars were hugely popular. But beyond the idea of racing, I was more fascinated with how simple combinations of curved and linear track sections would create fantasy circuits. Through similar imagination, one can simply map this experience to the opposite surface of the ceiling," says Michael Anastassiades. With "My Circuit", he has devised a versatile light track made of rubber for Flos that can be bent and curved. The copper conductors for the low-voltage current are attached to the outside of the lateral recesses and thus serve as a decorative as well as functional element. Various lighting devices can be connected to the monochrome white circuit with direct or indirect, spot or wide-area light – a new freedom that allows interior designers to put together a radiant ensemble entirely according to their wishes.
