Inspiration in the Theme Park
Under the title “The future is urban” this year’s “Theme Park” at Heimtextil in Hall 6.0 explores our future living spaces. British design office Franklin/Till has developed four trend topics: “The Flexible Space”, “The Healthy Space”, “The Re-Made Space” and “The Maker Space” and presents the current design, material- and color trends. Naturally, there will also be lectures on the topic “The future is urban”.
In Hall 4.2, the largest international platform for textile design is showing designs for home and house textiles from 250 exhibitors and 26 countries.
In addition, design studios will present their works using CAD/CAM and ink-jet methods.
Inspired by the motto for this year’s Theme Park “The future is urban”, Trendspot Retail is showcasing ideas and visions for retail design of the future.
Under the title of “Mobile Home” international universities are devoting themselves to the question of how design can be versatile enough to unite different situations with one another while simultaneously conveying constancy.
Sector trends and material novelties from the categories contract textiles, textile room dividing and sun protection systems, wall cladding, wallpaper and furniture were selected by some 30 architects and interior designers. The prize awarding ceremony will take place during the fair, and there will be a guided tour of the prize-winning exhibitors.
