Georg Bechter

Georg Bechter's “SYSTEM DOT 28” has been setting standards for the integration of light into architectural structures for ten years. The anniversary provides the company with an opportunity to review the development of the system in terms of efficiency, sustainability, and functional expansion. An important step in this process is the awarding of the Cradle to Cradle Gold Level certification to the luminaires. This certification stands for a design that is geared towards durable constructions, transparent material cycles, and a resource-saving structure.
The modular “SYSTEM DOT 28” now offers a comprehensive range of 23,851 possible combinations. It opens up a wide range of application options for planners while remaining committed to a clear architectural approach: light is conceived as an integral part of the surface. The VISO 28 motion detector adds an additional technical component to the system.

serien.lighting

serien.lighting is exhibiting at Light + Building with a stand that showcases the company's design philosophy, which it has consistently pursued for 40 years: the presentation in Hall 3.1 focuses on clear forms, technical precision, and the close connection between light and architecture. The focus is on the latest additions to the “SLICE² PI” and “REFLEX²” series. “SLICE² PI” includes new versions such as a pendant luminaire, an XXL ceiling variant, and a wall luminaire. The homogeneous luminous disc and the construction, which is only 30 millimeters high, remain characteristic.
“REFLEX²” is complemented by two new ceiling models, including a larger version and the Ceiling Cascade version. Both are characterized by a lighting effect with diffuse brightness and fine geometric shadow lines. The presentation offers a concise summary of the latest developments and shows how the luminaires from serien.lighting can be used in different architectural contexts.

XAL

At Light + Building, XAL will be presenting a booth that is consistently reduced in terms of structure, materials and effect, thus drawing attention to the product content. The expanded ‘ENVIVA’ family will be on display: a 15-millimetre slim luminaire series whose components are completely separable and recyclable. The extruded profiles are made of low-emission Hydro Low Carbon Aluminium. The series offers direct and indirect lighting, high-quality optics and a range of colours and materials. With an efficiency of up to 184 lumens per watt and optional presence and daylight sensors, it is designed for low energy consumption. All the new versions – suspended, free-standing, surface-mounted, recessed and track – will be on display at the show, providing an overview of the further development of the product family.
ENVIVA suspended (louver, spotline) is Cradle to Cradle Certified® Full Scope at Bronze level according to version 4.0. In addition, according to a XAL press release, ENVIVA suspended saves a total of almost 400 kg CO₂ eq compared to an average suspended linear luminaire.
