Pedrali 2025: GRIANTE
‘Griante’ by CMP Design for Pedrali is a wooden chair whose versatile design offers the right combination for every need: Robust teak wood provides the basis for outdoor use, while light-coloured ash wood is used indoors – from certified forests, of course. An aluminium frame is provided both for the seat and backrest, which is covered with a yarn belt made from recyclable polypropylene. The reference to craftsmanship is clearly recognisable: the cylindrical chair legs are lathed and the pleasant-to-touch belts are handmade. The creation of CMP Design shows a familiar rigour that finds its counterpart in the dynamic geometry of the handmade Italian weave and the natural aesthetics of the wooden components.
Available as a chair, armchair or lounge version, "Griante" offers with brown, beige, green, anthracite grey and light blue belts a wide range of customisation options. CMP Design have also thought about how to minimise the consumption of resources during transport: the surfaces for the seat and backrest are woven separately and then assembled with the other components. This makes it possible to pack the furniture flat for transport and the assembly and disassembly of the components is extremely simple. (am)
