Aisslinger's circuit

Werner Aisslinger designed a collection of outdoor furniture for Dedon, which is now debuting in Milan and will soon be waiting for guests in Cologne.

Characteristic for the appearance of "Cirql", the first collection Werner Aisslinger designed for Dedon, is - of course - the circle. The Outdoor series consists of a lounge chair, a dining chair and a side table/stool. With "Cirql", the German designer has interpreted the theme of woven garden furniture, one of Dedon's core products, in an equally sophisticated graphic and technical way. Aisslinger creates the defining motif of his design from concentric aluminium rings woven into radially diverging wickerwork - most clearly visible on the seating surfaces of the chairs and the footprint of the small table. The strong base repeats the circle motif and gains additional dynamism through a constriction. Alternatively, the dining chair is also available with four legs. Aisslinger was inspired by one of his current major projects: the 25hours Hotel in Cologne, which moves into a semicircular former administration building from the 1960s. "Cirql" will there be on display for the first time outside the fair.
