Headquartered in Mettlach in the Saarland, the group employs around 12,900 people and is one of the world's leading ceramic manufacturers. Villeroy & Boch sells its products in 140 countries and currently has 21 production sites. The value chain begins with the procurement of raw materials such as clay, glass, ceramics and other materials, as well as finished products. The collections offered by the group include tableware, sanitary ceramics, fittings and bathtubs. Shipping is mainly carried out using the company's own logistics network. An after-sales service with spare parts supply and repairs is also offered, as is responsible disposal and recycling of products and materials.

The Villeroy & Boch Group's sustainability goals for 2030 include achieving zero waste in terms of its own production raw materials at all production sites in the environmental category. Production at all non-ceramic plants is also to be climate-neutral by this date. In addition, the Group is currently working on its first products and collections developed in accordance with the new Sustainable Design Principles.
