A New Dimension

With the "KV5" kitchen faucet, Vola takes an everyday task to a whole new level: Whether boiling, chilled, still, sparkling, or at room temperature – a variety of drinking water experiences are brought together in a design whose clean lines exude calm and precision.

The kitchen has become the heart of the home: it’s where we cook and enjoy meals, entertain guests, and work. With the "KV5", Vola presents a faucet that embraces this transformation and elegantly enhances the quality of everyday life. Its tall, slender silhouette, balanced proportions, and clean lines give it a serene presence that blends naturally into sophisticated architecture and high-end interiors.

The "KV5"’s design roots date back to 1968, when Arne Jacobsen designed the first Vola faucets for the Danish National Bank. This collaboration gave rise to a design language that remains a milestone in modern faucet design to this day. With the "KV5", Vola continues this tradition and adapts it to the demands of contemporary living spaces. The design by Torben Madsen and Mogens Kristensen was guided by a focus on balance, precision, and timeless aesthetics. A particular challenge was integrating the additional technology for the various water functions into the characteristic slender form. “Visually, however, we wanted to maintain the Vola proportions. To achieve balance, we positioned the two control handles slightly further apart – in accordance with the golden ratio,” explains Mogens Kristensen. Every detail was carefully coordinated to create a harmonious effect in the room.

The "KV5" is manufactured in Horsens, Denmark, where all Vola faucets are produced. High-quality materials, precise craftsmanship, and the close integration of design and production have always formed the foundation of the brand. This commitment is complemented by an exceptionally long-term approach to service: replacement parts are available even for faucets from the early years of production. The result is a product designed for durability that consistently embodies the principles of sustainable design.

Behind its minimalist appearance lies a remarkable range of functions, as the "KV5" combines boiling water, filtered water, chilled still water, chilled sparkling water, and the classic hot and cold water functions in a single faucet. This makes a variety of drinking water experiences immediately available right where they’re needed every day. The mindful use of high-quality drinking water becomes a new norm, while the move away from bottled water simultaneously supports the responsible use of resources. The operation of the elegant faucet, meanwhile, is streamlined to the essentials: familiar elements, haptic feedback, and visual LED indicators guide users intuitively. The system is complemented by a specially developed app that provides information, for example, on the system’s status or the next filter change. The combination of technical innovation and design clarity extends even to the components that aren’t visible at first glance: In collaboration with a Swiss development partner, a solution was created in which these components are compactly housed in a technical box inside the base cabinet.

The variety of colors and finishes also offers great design freedom: Since the faucet is available in all Vola colors and finishes, a broad spectrum is available for designing everything from understated shades to bold hues, which can be specifically integrated into various architectural and interior design concepts. Vola’s new "KV5" faucet thus becomes a tool for interior design that, beyond its exceptional functionality, shapes the materiality and atmosphere of a space in a unique way.
