"We haven't reinvented sitting. But we have simply made it better," is a guiding principle of the Topstar brand Wagner Living. Improving people's well-being through thoughtful design, increasing their productivity and health are the main focus for the family-owned company. With the invention of the three-dimensionally movable Dondola mechanism in collaboration with product developer Stephan Meyer, healthy sitting could be redefined through micro-movements. Both beneficial for the back and for the mind – thanks to the movement joints in the seat and backrest, the ability to concentrate is also supported during dynamic sitting. One of the Wagner Living chair series equipped with the original Dondola joint is the "AluMedic", which ideally embodies Wagner Living's promise of quality: firmly established on the market since the end of the 1990s, "AluMedic" offers a robust as well as classic design with a structure of hand-polished aluminium and the individual choice of matching backrest. The three-dimensional Dondola seat joint is discreetly installed under the seat.
With the new "AluMedic Black Edition", Wagner Living has currently created a model variant that offers an ideal complement: The structure has been reduced to the essentials, giving it a futuristic expression. All components are in matt black and reduced to the essentials. Thus, the chair fits into any office environment and can be used very flexibly. The impressive effect of the slender structure of the "AluMedic Black Edition" is demonstrated by the furnishing of the office rooms from the software company Baramundi in Augsburg. The building, designed by Henn Architekten, is one of the pilot projects of the new Augsburg Innovation Park. In keeping with the new way of working, the 13,250 square metre space can be used flexibly for changing tasks and also offers the team a fitness room and a café. The interplay of glass double façade, homogeneous concrete elements and the numerous curtains, which serve both as shading and as room dividers and sound absorbers, offers a contemporary approach to office design. The "AluMedic" family by Wagner Living fits ideally into this atmosphere and exemplifies how design, movement and health can be combined in one product. (am)
