Himalayan Undyed / mod. WANGDEN
Wangdens are meditation rugs originally used in Tibetan monasteries,
tipically with thick fringes on the four sides. We are interpreting them to exalt the softness of wool, very evident on the fringes, very thick. We present the original square shape thinking they could be suggested as relaxing areas at home; to lay down
directly on those rugs gives the chance to directly appreciate their naturalness. It's possible to smell the scent of wool. The square perimeter suggests an area to gather in and to shared space. The rectangular shape of Wangden for sitting benches inspi
red the runner. The waved lines underline the concept of fluidity in movements of wool in the fringes and of union between the borders.
