My chair upholstery

The classic shell chair, My Chair, is now available in an upholstered version. Normann Copenhagen launches My Chair in a total of four different quality fabrics as well as soft and exclusive leather. The upholstery adds a new dimension to My Chair and the rigorous design is counterbalanced by the rounded corners and curved waist. This gives it a warm and welcoming feel.

Normann Copenhagen has carefully selected the materials for their attractive design as well as ensuring a durable result and a comfortable sitting experience. All the textiles are made of lovely wool blends with vivid expression, beautiful structures and plenty of play. In addition, they are all extremely durable and suitable for intensive use. The leather is both a luxurious and practical choice with its resistant finish making it easy to maintain.

My Chair is a simple, all-round stackable chair in a timeless design. With this chair, the designer Nicholai Wiig Hansen has reinterpreted the classic shell chair as we know it and added a striking elegance and harmony. The flexible shell follows the shape of the body while the angle of My Chair´s backrest is slightly more open than on most other chairs. This makes it more comfortable when you lean back.

On closer inspection of the chair you will gradually notice a number of understated details, bearing witness to the fact that all of its features are deliberate and thoroughly thought out. The upholstery is of top quality workmanship and the dead straight stitching illustrates remarkable precision. For example, no standard parts have been used in the chair's production, but instead customised solutions have been implemented allowing a completely aesthetic experience no matter what angle you look at the chair from.
