In the "Piemontese dialect" FUST means tree trunk. So it is not surprising that it is the Pininfarina Research Centre in Cambiano in Italy's Piemonte region that should beget the new FUST project for RIVA 1920.
FUST takes its origins
from the working of cedar trunks. With a design that is spare and contemporary, the FUST stool comes in two different sizes: the 78.2 cm high model can be used with counter tops or bars while the 50.2 cm high (FUST CIT)model can be combined with tables o
f normal height.
The lower edge of the stool is covered in a thin metal strip making its more hard-wearing.
