SHOJI is a refined floor lamp that blends handcrafted detail with contemporary simplicity. The SHOJI features a strictly hand-stitched nylon lampshade that emits a warm, diffused glow, creating an intimate atmosphere in any setting. Designed in 2013 by Davide Groppi and Paola Lenti, the SHOJI combines a slender metal structure with PBT and polycarbonate components, resulting in a lamp that feels both robust and light. The visible stitching of the nylon shade highlights the handmade craftsmanship that distinguishes SHOJI from mass-produced luminaires. With an E27 socket and compatibility with modern LED bulbs, SHOJI is energy-conscious while delivering pleasant, glare-free illumination. An outdoor version is also available, expanding SHOJI’s versatility from residential interiors to hospitality spaces and sheltered outdoor areas. The lamp’s silhouette is deliberately simple, allowing the material and the quality of light to be the focal point: SHOJI sculpts space through subtle shadow and gentle radiance.
