The programme features a number of well-known design classics. Gaggenau has always been known for high-end materials and quality manufacture, and for its cutting-edge but ultimately functional products, wrapped in the distinctive Gaggenau 'look'. International acclaim and numerous design awards have recognised the work of Gaggenau’s designers: iF design awards (including Gold), red dot awards and – again not for the first time – the Good Design Award of the Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in Chicago.
Product cycles are becoming increasingly shorter but Gaggenau counts on sustainable design that stands the test of time. One of the best examples in this context is the EB388 90cm-oven, a design icon that has been produced for many years, and is now on display in the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
A similarly long-lasting success can be predicted for the 2007 innovations: the Vario refrigeration appliances, the modular refrigeration appliances of Serie 400 and the new ovens and steam-ovens of Serie 200 where controls are integrated into the seamless, sheer surface of the door.
Products with a strong identity and high recognition factor form the new ‘Gaggenau face’ which will continue to shape the luxury kitchens of today and which will remain the epitome of enjoyable aesthetics for gourmets and design lovers alike.

The imm cologne furniture fair is currently making a comeback, not just thanks to efforts being made to once again provide dedicated labels and manufacturers with a sophisticated platform, but also because of its grand new kitchen show, "Living Kitchen". While experienced trade fair visitors may have wondered what the name referred to ("the kitchen is alive" or perhaps "living the kitchen"?) one thing is clear: Kitchens are the new hot topic that electrifies professional visitors and the general public alike.
