With the 5-star hotel “The Fontenay,” architects Störmer Murphy and Partners, in collaboration with Lindner, have created an homage to the port city of Hamburg.
SeaX stands for elegance and modernity. Distinguished by its meticulous attention to detail, its wealth of innovative design solutions and its alluring array of materials, colors and textures, this ultra-sophisticated foldable armchair could only be the work of French designer Jean-Marie Massaud, the man behind such iconic projects as the Chivas Volcano Stadium in Mexico and the Manned Cloud airship hotel, developed in collaboration with Onera, the French aerospace research labs. Taking inspiration from the sleek racing sailboats of the America's Cup, Massaud has developed a frame for the SeaX that is remarkably light and flexible yet extremely robust. Armrests covered in richly-hued, teak-finished marine plywood bring warmth to the minimalist design.
