With a total volume of 517 litres, the 178-cm high and 91-cm wide freestanding appliance is the largest of the new series. The generously-dimensioned Side-by-Side model features three climate zones including an integrated 19-litre fresh cooling zone with a temperature close to 0 °C, which considerably extends the life of fresh produce. The new model features a 178-litre 4-star freezer compartment with No-Frost technology and a fast-freeze function. Drawers and shelves are removable for maximum flexibility when storing larger items. Transparent materials and glare-free lighting provide an optimal overview of the refrigerator’s contents. Shelves and drawers are fully extendable for easy access. As in the other appliances of the 200 series, the cooling zone features a stepped shelf with integrated fixtures for Gastronorm inserts and the space-saving storage of items of different heights. The hygienic stainless steel Gastronorm inserts, available in a variety of standard sizes, are the basic essentials of every professional kitchen. Gaggenau’s innovative idea of integrating them into the refrigerator introduces new, efficient workflow processes to the kitchen – from storage and preparation, right up to serving at the table. The Vario 200 cooling series provides innovative solutions for demanding new customers and is the perfect first step into Gaggenau’s world of professional cooling.
