The backrest of the Fontenay seat is made of solid, closely-placed teak slats. Their shape is modelled according to one of the most unusual curvatures, that of the human spine. The armrests of plantation teak are pleasant to the touch and relax the body. The large seating area of teak is shaped three-dimensionally for it to really fit the body. It is rounded at the front to improve upper leg comfort. For easy and long-term outdoor use, all bolts of the joints are made of stainless steel, in rust-proof bearings. Polyamide runners under the seat ensure a smooth folding action and protect the powder-coated metal.
