“The design is built around a continuous line that rises from the base, continues into the seat, and then follows the backrest. Like a hull, a main line structures the form, gives it tension, and defines its silhouette.” Patrick Jouin
Karen builds on the connection between Ligne Roset and Patrick Jouin. A dialogue between the designer and Ligne Roset, characterized by a shared commitment to design philosophy, comfort, and French craftsmanship.
The chair’s legs are distinguished by a simple and clean geometry and support the shell without constraining it. Their design contributes to the overall balance of the model, which is characterized by stability and, at the same time, lightness.
The base does not seek to push itself into the foreground, but rather to highlight the volume, as if it were stepping back slightly to reveal the proportions and the softness of the lines.
The seat is available as a chair with and without armrests, both with wooden or metal frames. Regardless of the material, the principle remains the same. Each version continues the same silhouette, preserving the identity of the piece while simultaneously expanding its possible uses and applications.
