Wilkhahn: WiChair by Wilkhahn
New materials meet proven construction – for greater flexibility and new design possibilities.
Wilkhahn is expanding the WiChair family with seat and back shells made of polypropylene containing a high percentage of recycled plastic. The new version complements the existing shells made of FSC®-Mix molded wood and transforms the chair’s appearance with a finely speckled surface. The models are available in black and pale gray.
The design principle remains unchanged: a spring-loaded steel swing arm enables three-dimensional movements while sitting, without the need for complex mechanics. The bolted construction allows for the replacement of individual components as well as the subsequent separation of the materials used.
To meet different requirements, the new variants are available unupholstered, with a fully upholstered seat, or with the Slim seat and backrest cushions, which can be retrofitted. The latter also allows for subsequent adjustments to comfort and appearance.
In addition, Wilkhahn is expanding the overall product line to include armrests with oak veneer and a four-leg base with glides. The new variants will be available from October 2026 at specialty retailers.
