A system for living spaces
Building a house is a big undertaking – there are many challenges, big and small, and plenty of important decisions to be made along the way. Bathroom planning is the most important part of the process, because once decisions have been made for this significant space, they cannot be changed easily. This makes it all the more important to choose high-quality products that feel right. For professionals like Franziska Kanani, owner of Kanani Innenarchitektur, this is a matter of course. Near Hanover, she has created a 350-square-metre dream home for her family in collaboration with wagnerarchitektur: a single-storey bungalow that opens seamlessly onto the garden and private pool thanks to floor-to-ceiling glass fronts. The boundaries between indoor and outdoor space are fluid.
An essential part of this oasis is the spacious spa: ‘In the bathroom area in particular, it was important to me to make a strong design statement in addition to functionality,’ recalls Kanani. The ‘CeraFloor Individual’ shower channel with the ‘DallFlex’ system from Dallmer was chosen for the drainage system of the floor-level shower. A deliberate design element that perfectly underscores the cosy interior design of the room with its elegant matt brass colour scheme. The installation position, adjusted with millimetre precision, could be freely selected, whether close to the wall, flush with the surface or concealed. For the most seamless transitions possible, the shower channel can be fitted with almost any tile desired. The inner values of ‘CeraFloor Individual’ are also impressive: a drainage profile with integrated cross slope that is holistically efficient: ‘Everything is connected. Anyone planning a high-quality, minimalist shower needs a system that thinks for itself – and that's what DallFlex offers in every detail,’ says Kanani.
With Dallmer's online configurator, the shower channel could be configured step by step to meet the exact requirements. The strict geometry underlying the interior design is reflected in the design of the shower channel, as is the exclusive comfort offered by the new building. Dallmer also took maintenance and cleaning into account in the product development: the odour trap of ‘CeraFloor Individual’ is accessible at all times and the collection tank is easy to clean. ‘When planning a bathroom, the shower channel is no longer just a technical detail – it is part of the design,’ summarises Franziska Kanani. Dallmer's modern drainage system for floor-level showers has made it possible to add elegant accents that impress in both form and function. (am)
