Simply logical

With "LANI", Toan Nguyen has designed a versatile bathroom furniture set for Laufen that offers plenty of storage space, can be integrated into any concept thanks to its elegant design and impresses with its sophisticated lines and high-quality materials.

What does a bathroom need to always look tidy? Storage space, of course. However, a balanced design of the furniture is just as important for a harmonious impression. The French designer Toan Nguyen has already proven with the "LUA" collection for Laufen that he knows how to implement this requirement in design. With "LANI", he continues the idea of a reduced bathroom design that appears coherent in itself. "I didn't want to design a bathroom collection that looked as if it was made up of different boxes," he says. "LANI" thus offers vanity units, cabinets, vanity tops, drawer elements, mirrors and mirror cabinets that can be perfectly combined with other collections from Laufen. "We want to offer a solution for every dimension and every bathroom that takes into account the requirements of both the end user and the architect," explains the designer. He starts with a pencil, because for him every search for the perfect idea begins with a sketch. This is followed by a 3D model and the most important part for him: the exchange. "The collaboration with Laufen team is essential and their feedback is always constructive," he says. And adds: "We don't force the process, but work together on the product until it is logical in itself".

The result is "LANI" with expressive lines that contribute to a balanced overall appearance without being too expressive in each case. An aesthetic design for bathroom furniture, far removed from fast-moving trends, that is also practical to use and easy to assemble. All of the furniture's fastening elements are thus effortlessly 3D-adjustable and offer an anti-unhinge feature. Pleasant details are also the soft-closing doors and drawers with integrated recessed handles, like the slim side panels of the carcases. Inside the cabinets, towels and care products can be stored on elegant glass shelves. Nguyen gives customers a great deal of freedom when it comes to choosing the surfaces: in addition to the classic colours white and grey, 38 other variants are possible for the lacquer finish, including special colours such as gold, copper or titanium. If a natural look is required for a balanced overall appearance, Laufen also offers a wood look in wild oak for "LANI". All the wood materials in the collection come from PEFC and FSC-certified sources in Europe. "LANI" is coherent in itself - right down to the details. (am)
