Offecct 2021: MAKI
Offecct likes to try out unconventional shapes in furniture design - even if it is that of a sushi roll.
With "Maki", Jin Kuramoto has designed an armchair for Offecct whose continuous surface forms a roll as it progresses, creating a hollow space in the backrest area. Inspired by the sushi roll of the same name, the shape offered a challenge for Offecct's production, which they mastered with expertise and the joy of experimentation. The basis is provided by a metal frame with moulded cold foam that is fully upholstered in fabric. Thanks to its dynamic shape, "Maki" can also be combined to form a curved seating landscape. The filigree four-legged frame gives the voluminous seat body a pleasantly airy appearance. You have the choice between the colours black, grey, beige and blue for the covers. (am)
