Featured Preview – Milan Design Week 2022
ZEITRAUM
The Alcova platform for independent design in the Inganni district to the west of the city centre already excited visitors to Milan Design Week last year at the supersalone: the grounds of a former military hospital nestled in a small wooded area offer three historic vacant buildings that will be filled with life from 5 to 12 June 2022: The presentations in the unique setting allow the transitions between art and design to become fluid in the context of "Luxury & Sustainability". Zeitraum will be presenting a series of new products at Alcova: the "AD ALL Collection" series of wooden accessories designed by Mathias Hahn will be on show for the first time, featuring gently rounded hooks, a screen and mirror, as well as tables and armchairs by the design studio Formstelle - such as "Zenso High" with its impressive back and particularly comfortable upholstery. Under the title Ponds of Colour, visitors can expect an installation of four object-like islands of colour. This will convey a snapshot of different typologies of precisely crafted furniture. In addition, Zeitraum will offer a centrally located "Offcut Bar", a meeting point where both the various trends of the unusual exhibition concept and the visitors to Alcova can come together. (am)
