Designed as a tricoloured Saxony, ODINA combines a yen for colour with the full, tactile feel of a broadloom carpet with a homey, very textile appearance. The high-pile ODINA is particularly comfortable and displays a very likeable softness. The velours surface shimmers discreetly due to the sophisticated tricolouredness and obtains a striking liveliness thereby. And ODINA becomes even more out-of-the-ordinary as a result of the total of 19 colours composed of intense and almost contradictional hues.

But in the third part of our tour of the “BAU” trade fair in Munich, Amandus Sattler discovers that there are in fact some well-executed specimens out there, such as those developed in collaboration with Foster+Partners. Data protection patterns, and columns of numbers and letters without their content spelling a meaning, form the basis of "Rapport", an intervention by architect Jürgen Mayer H. at Berlinische Galerie. Outsized the symbols spread across the floor and walls to form an "experimental spatial structure".
