SOLO ’14 Sofa

Antonio Citterio chooses to revisit a seating system featured in the 1999 catalogue, a system that stood out for its rigour and simple design. Today the collection includes a 230 cm chaise-longue element with a gentler image, while the shape remains unchanged, characterised by the armrest placed on the protruding seat.
In this new version, a prominent faux leather profile defines the lines of the sofa, a tailored detail that softens the severe features of the first version. Likewise, even the supports, that were once straight, become gentler with a more harmonious appearance, in a new interpretation of the die-casting process from which they originated.
It will be the choice of those who seek haute-couture details, and may choose between the integrally coloured and contrasting profile by playing with the four colours available (natural, dark brown and dove grey). The die-cast aluminium supports are available in a glossy brushed, black chrome or bronzed nickel finish.
