The subtle difference

Light + Building recently closed its doors to the public in Frankfurt/Main. Which topics are people still talking about? Here is Stylepark’s retrospective overview of the fair.
Ingo Maurer designed the Bibibibi originally as a wedding present for friends. The legs came from a plastic Stork, which he had seen at Woolworths. The birds were sold out, but only a pair of legs without torso was left. The sales person did not want to s
ell the incomplete product, but we see here how the story ends. The playful new table lamp was very well received, and in the beginning was made as a limited and numbered series. Bibibibi soon after became a full member of the collection and has been avai
lable for over 30 years. The white porcelain plate reflects a soft light that is glare-free, and can function shelf for small but important objects.
