A touch of new objectivity

Quo vadis, furniture design? This year’s Salone del Mobile reveals a few ideas. An analysis in our glance back at the fair.
Visual balance and harmony are characteristics of the new fronts without handles that Montana launches at Design Post for the international furniture fair in Cologne 2012. A new facet has been added to Peter J. Lassen’s system design providing new possibilities of creating your own personalized design.
”Sideboards and TV hi-fi installations will get a quite new expression with smooth and streamlined fronts for a clean, minimalist look. The new handle-less fronts matches perfectly our popular retractable doors, which have been highly successful in TV hi-fi installations” Joakim Lassen, Director Design & Communication at Montana, says.
Drawers and doors without handles can be opened and shut with a light pressure on the front. The selected drawer and door models are available in all Montana’s 42 lacquer colours.
Montana is a modular concept of various modules that can be combined in infinite possibilities.
