Ambright: Lunara by Nora Dietze

A Tribute to the Rhythm of Light

With LUNARA, Ambright presents a lighting composition designed by Nora Dietze, whose concept and name are based entirely on the symbolism of the moon. The name is derived directly from “Luna,” the Latin word for the moon, and links this celestial body to the designer’s first name. Since the name “Nora” is also associated with light in various linguistic forms, the name reflects the central idea of the design: The phases of the moon and their rhythmic changes are made physically tangible through a precise interplay of light, darkness, and finely tuned geometries.

Technically, the luminaire is based on Ambright’s patented printed-light technology, which allows the lighting technology to be integrated directly into the material. The body, just six millimeters thick, combines direct and indirect light with a distinctive light edge. This process results in a customizable, made-to-order object that combines a minimalist design language with innovative manufacturing technology.
