COR
The bright rooms of the showroom in Milan's historic Brera district are characterised by soft shades of beige, grey and pink, creating a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere. They demonstrate the close intertwining of materiality, comfort and architectural design at COR. For Managing Director Leo Lübke, COR's presence in Milan is an expression of the company's long-standing ethos: to create functional, clear and precisely crafted German furniture that stands the test of time, regardless of trends.
At this year's Milan Design Week, COR is presenting further developments in its range that embody this design philosophy. The “Kagu” armchair by the design duo Jehs+Laub is a striking example of this: the carefully proportioned ash or oak frame with a clearly visible wood grain and the softly contoured, dimensionally stable seat combine precision craftsmanship with modern elegance. Thanks to its clear, understated form, the armchair is suitable for both domestic settings and formal spaces. The matching side tables complement it perfectly, their design language harmonising with the frame to complete the overall look.
The updated ‘Cordia’ armchair also takes centre stage in the apartment. Its slender silhouette and strikingly shaped armrests combine with the swivel design to offer comfort and clean lines, creating a subtle presence. Whether in open-plan lofts or more compact living spaces, the "Cordia 26" can be flexibly integrated into a variety of settings, fostering a tidy and balanced atmosphere.
The Brera presentation conveys a lifestyle that combines familiar elements with contemporary design, an effect that extends beyond the event itself. COR thus continues its tradition of developing furniture for those who value durability, aesthetics and quality. Since 1954, upholstered and seating furniture bearing a distinctive design signature has been produced in Rheda-Wiedenbrück for international projects. The use of certified materials, climate-neutral production and high-quality craftsmanship form the basis for this.
